You've written a good follow-up to the River's trilogy. I never rode a horse intending for it to buck or tried to make one buck harder. The only way I used spurs was to hold on tighter, or maybe use an inside spur to get them into a tight spin instead of a buck. But before I quit riding colts at age 54, I had one separated shoulder, a dislocated jaw, at least five broken ribs that I can remember (There are some blow-ups I don't remember except what the guys on the corral fence told me! Ha!), two concussions, and more bumps, bruises, pulls and strains than I can count. It took a few months, but I finally am completely over the itch to ever climb on another green horse and put a little "finish" on it. They put the finish on me!Doc Turnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03771622965389391657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2527434627416065375.post-63903631422716992502012-04-05T13:09:54.430-07:002012-04-05T13:09:54.430-07:00Fantastic. I want to come to the party if my feet are working by then.
